Dedica hosts a public preview of everything it will serve to AI agents on your domain. You can open it, share it, or give it to an agent before your middleware is connected and before you turn on serving. The preview has its own address, which stands in for https://<your domain>:
The same path answers the same thing. For example, <preview>/llms.txt is what https://<your domain>/llms.txt will be, and <preview>/pricing.md is what https://<your domain>/pricing.md will be.

Find your preview

Until your site is live, the Overview in Dedica shows a Try it before you connect card with your preview link. Copy it, open it, or copy a ready-made prompt that points an assistant at it. Through the API, GET /api/v1/onboarding/middleware/ returns preview_url, the preview’s index page.

The index page

Open <preview>/ in a browser for a page that lists everything Dedica serves for your site, with a summary of each and its address on the preview and on your domain:
  • Files: llms.txt, llms.md, llms-full.txt, one llms.txt per section, and the discovery files.
  • Agent pages: each agent page, and for index pages every page it covers, each with its own .md.
  • APIs: /ask and the MCP server, with the MCP server’s tools.
Agents and scripts get the same index as JSON:

What it serves

Connect an agent to the preview’s MCP server the same way as to your domain’s. For example, with Claude Code:
Links inside the files that point at something Dedica serves on your domain point at the preview instead, so an agent given the preview’s llms.txt can follow them. Links to your normal pages still go to your site.

What to know

  • Only approved content is shown, exactly as it would be served on your domain. Drafts waiting in Review never are.
  • The preview works in any serving mode. Turning on serving doesn’t change it.
  • /ask needs at least one approved agent page, and /mcp needs at least one approved tool. Until then they answer 404.
  • Tool calls from the preview’s MCP server are the same anonymous calls to your own public API as on your domain.
  • Search engines are asked not to index the preview, so it doesn’t compete with your own site.
  • Each visitor can make 120 requests a minute to the preview, and 10 a minute to /ask.
  • The preview’s /ask takes GET only. NLWeb POST /ask is only on your domain.
The preview’s address uses your site id, not your domain. Anyone with the address can open it, so share it the way you would share a draft.
